ROOFING LEAD GENERATION: OPTIMIZE FOR SOLD JOBS, NOT RAW LEADS

Roofing lead generation is only valuable when the right homeowner becomes a profitable sold job. Buying more inquiries will not fix missed calls, slow inspections, vague estimates, or weak follow-up. Build the acquisition plan and sales process together.

CHOOSE LEAD SOURCES FOR THE WORK YOU WANT

Repairs, replacements, commercial work, and maintenance have different timing and economics. Match local search, paid search, social, referrals, neighborhood mail, video, and partnerships to the territory and job types you can serve. Make the landing page clear about service, coverage, trust signals, and the next step.

Avoid judging a source by cost per lead alone. Record whether the lead was in territory, qualified, contactable, and ready for an inspection. Cheap out-of-area inquiries can be more expensive than fewer strong ones.

PROTECT THE PATH FROM CALL TO QUOTE

Measure answered and missed calls, speed to first response, booked inspections, estimate delivery, and quote follow-up. Assign each open estimate an owner and next action. These steps often determine whether added advertising spend helps at all.

Use a CRM that keeps source and job type attached to the opportunity. Dedicated numbers or campaign codes can help with offline media, but keep unknown sources visible.

COMPARE CHANNELS BY SOLD WORK

Review spend, qualified inspections, estimates, sold jobs, and gross margin where available. Break results out by job type and territory. If a source creates many estimates but few sales, listen to call and sales feedback before changing the bid or creative.

The first improvement may be reworking old estimates or answering calls faster. A lead-generation program should be accountable for the revenue path, not just the top of the funnel.

THE NEXT MOVE

FIND THE LOST SOLD JOBS.

Review the last 30 days of calls, inspections, estimates, and source data to see where the handoff breaks.
